Surely we don’t want to just do one thing forever.
As the generations before us clearfully explained, learning a single job and expecting to be fine for our lives is just a dream.
I’m kind of happy about that, because it means that I can purposefully allow myself to learn throughout my life.
But there’s a scary fact: what am I going to do if I’m not enough for a job?
This is a serious question.
If you want to learn you will inevitably ignore something else.
Diversity hence can be troublesome.
At the same time learning new things allows to apply new perspectives to old habits which could improve your overall results.
I guess balance, as always is crucial.
Doing requires more time than learning.
Also learning requires longer time than “hearing or reading” to come to effect.
I think the idea of learning one new thing per month could be a good answer.
But we are not robots and I belive I tend to prefer moments of deep constant “logical” learning opposed to intense times of constant practice.
